I have to admit any gardening work I do would be on a bank holiday.
Due to my career, a bank holiday is often the only time I can do serious work in the garden.
Although I only potter about really.
As I have some guys who come to do the real garden work.

I would not have machinery going though, maybe lawn mower but that would only be for an hour or so.

In rusti's case, if I knew she was having family and/ or friends for a day in the garden as in a BBQ.
I'd not want to, out of consideration want to spoil their day.
The guys who do my garden also would never be there outside a normal weekday.
