It's funny, but I grew up on Mother's Pride too LT, so it may have been the same bread but just the Scottish version. Do you remember an advert on TV with some old biddy saying; "I'm the mother in Mother's Pride"?

Yesssss my Dad would always get that in whenever he went up to Livi to see his family.

Sometimes the farmfoods round here has it but lately they've stocked in an Irish version instead which is bigger and more square but for me the crusts aren't anywhere near as tasty.

Mainly seeded brown of sorts.
Don't mind White if I am baking buns and have sun dried tomatoe and/or cheese thrown in the mix.
