i guess this is a very American point of view, but i've always seen Jeopardy as the most sophisticated of all game shows... so i guess i have to say Jeopardy is number 1 when it comes to shows that are still going. I love who wants to be a millionaire, just because i'm really good at trivia. But personally i think the price is right is the most fun to watch, because it's really like 20 different games every show.

1. Jeopardy.
2. Millionaire (who wants to be)
3. THE PRICE IS RIGHT (my actually favorite just for entertainment, even though i know it's not the best game)

i don't think you can count shows where it's just celebrities playing and there is no real prize.

If we are counting fake game shows where it's just celebrities making meaningless points, then i'd say Q.I. is the best game show...

But i don't really consider that a true game show. A true game show is normal people competing for a real prize.
