Loved it. She should have been franker! Bear is a manipulative, aggressive angry, attention seeking, thick skinned, exhibitionist of the highest order and although unable to take as much as he gives will get over it. Even if forum members cannot.

I thought the cancer comment was really low, not when she originally made it but when she confirmed she did mean him being a cancer.

However so much for her word since she said later to him that she never meant he was a cancer.

...but isn't that Bear's whole game-plan, to antagonise, goad and provoke 'the true colours'...(while masking his own 'true colours' in his Bear character..)...and what he's been praised for in his methods..he's consistently brought housemates to tears and raw emotion and that's 'nasty' and even when he's done it, he's carried on pushing and poking after his insincere apologies ..(because he knows that he has to make those apologies or whatever as well to keep it all in the game...)...and then another apology and then another apology and etc etc, which if anyone was truly sorry thy wouldn't have to be making....it really is poor and a poor series when we're rating levels of 'nastiness' and oh that wasn't as bad as that etc...sadly he will be rewarded though for his engineering of this hateful playground....

Yes, so true. And I think the cancer comment is being misinterpreted- she means a cancer in terms of his vile behaviour within the house, and the way the negative impact has infected everyone in there, not in terms of the actual illness.

With respect though Ammi, by your own statement, isn't he the one in fact who is indeed 'not' masking the negative side to him, since you clearly see how he does wind up, goad and annoy the others and it is shown in the highlights by BB, not him, every night.
He does not edit and dictate what it is put in the highlights, BB can ignore and dismiss anything that goes on if they wished to.

He admits the negatives to himself and, in my opinion, has played the wind up merchant to near perfection.
The others are the ones who have reacted to him almost every time he does, even with that full knowledge that he is winding them up.

Perhaps then, seeing him and how he goes on.
Had it been a series without him being as he is, maybe we would not have been shown the negative sides to the others,being therefore left with a false impression of how they think and in fact really are.
