Bear has never been nasty like that to anyone.Let us hope she is not rewarded for this vitriolic behaviour. She turned what could have been a light hearted and nice episode quite dark.
...but isn't that Bear's whole game-plan, to antagonise, goad and provoke 'the true colours'...(while masking his own 'true colours' in his Bear character..)...and what he's been praised for in his methods..he's consistently brought housemates to tears and raw emotion and that's 'nasty' and even when he's done it, he's carried on pushing and poking after his insincere apologies ..(because he knows that he has to make those apologies or whatever as well to keep it all in the game...)...and then another apology and then another apology and etc etc, which if anyone was truly sorry thy wouldn't have to be making....it really is poor and a poor series when we're rating levels of 'nastiness' and oh that wasn't as bad as that etc...sadly he will be rewarded though for his engineering of this hateful playground....

Yes, so true. And I think the cancer comment is being misinterpreted- she means a cancer in terms of his vile behaviour within the house, and the way the negative impact has infected everyone in there, not in terms of the actual illness.

She should have been thrown out for the hitman comment. Out of order. They give Bear warnings for wasting food, but let this go? Actually saying she wants him dead?

Imagine if Bear hD made that comment and kept saying he wanted her dead everyone here would be saying they must kick him out. But because its Rene making threats to Bear it's ok. Some people are actually saying he deserves to die

The only explanation for her not being turfed out for wishing hurt on another HM is that it was scripted, if that was real them there are no words

With respect though Ammi, by your own statement, isn't he the one in fact who is indeed 'not' masking the negative side to him, since you clearly see how he does wind up, goad and annoy the others and it is shown in the highlights by BB, not him, every night.
He does not edit and dictate what it is put in the highlights, BB can ignore and dismiss anything that goes on if they wished to.

He admits the negatives to himself and, in my opinion, has played the wind up merchant to near perfection.
The others are the ones who have reacted to him almost every time he does, even with that full knowledge that he is winding them up.

Perhaps then, seeing him and how he goes on.
Had it been a series without him being as he is, maybe we would not have been shown the negative sides to the others, being therefore left with a false impression of how they think and in fact really are.

Bear has'nt been that nasty to anyone though and has'nt threatened anyone or wished death on them or compared them to cancer. He's kept it to light hearted humour and yes he's wound them up and been annoying but Renee certainly let her mask slip with those comments. If someone's annoying you then you can annoy them back,Not get them killed. She took it too far.

...indeed, of course not because that wouldn't have been the Bear who had to balance out with the 'charm' and the humour as well, while he was pushing people to their very limits and trying for the inevitable of negativity that it was going to bring...he hasn't 'kept it light' though, there is real spite and callous disregard/lack of empathy in his game-plan and the thing is, when someone antagonises/goads etc to the consistent and relentless extent that he has, it's always going to release things that he has no control over and the very worst of people....he's been the perpetrator so it's really not hard for him to maintain his mask, while others have not been so in his game...I condone nothing of any bad or extreme reactions from others and I don't defend them at all...but I don't think that any of us forum people would defend/laugh with or at/find entertainment or charm etc in any troll that was pushing our own buttons to the very limit and then laughing at us and saying...oooo, you upset then, my goodness me.....and again and again and again and again...and that's what he basically is, a troll....

I thought James handled him perfectly when he poured the coffee over Bear. That's Bear's level and Bear left him alone after that because he knew he'd met his match. What James didn't do is threaten his life in any way.If Renee can only revert to that level when someone annoys her then she shouldn't have been put in the house. It is inevitable that you will meet annoying characters in there. That's the name of the game.

Didn't Renee pour water on him? He didn't leave her alone though.

..I love the playing down of 'when someone annoys'...(I feel Bear would be disappointed in that choice of words as well with all of his efforts and hoping they've been appreciated to their fullest..)...anyways, as I say ..I don't condone Renee's recent reactions/words... but I think 'breaking people' as he has can never be seen as not spiteful or nasty or justified just because it shows 'their capability/or capacity' etc...just because some have held together in a better way, really doesn't justify/excuse or have any bearing...and no respect even for the extreme emotions that he's provoked and poked but just often 'making light' of those as well....anyways, I don't choose to spend any more moments of my day in the discussion of Bear so I'm off to start my day and hope that you enjoy yours, Northern Monkey....
