Cause snakebite is a mixture of cider and lager (well, it is at my uni - topped with blackcurrant juice to dilute it)

It gets me pretty drunk too. In fact, as far as I'm aware straight snakebites (without the top) are actually banned in a lot of places for that very reason. I remember when I came home from uni and went out a couple of years ago I asked if they did them in this bar, and the woman told me 'we don't, but I can give you a half pint of cider and lager and you can mix them together if you like, I'm just not allowed to do it for you'. No word of a lie, it's the only drink I had for the rest of the night it was that lethal
