I actually think the opposite to what the OP is saying  and I think the reaction to India being the person to say it is stronger because she's transsexual, and people linking trans with drag and India's objections to transphobia as being the same as how a drag queen might feel about somebody having a phobia of people in drag, and so it's being called a hypocrisy, but personally I don't see it that way. Had anyone else said they had a fear of drag queens, I really don't think it would have been made into such a big issue. |
