Arrow X Factor Axed in 2010?

Dont know if this has already been posted today, I havent seen it on TiBB Though.
Was in the shop this morning and saw this on the front page..was pretty shocked so heres the full story..
I dont think Simon will actually axe it though:

X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has threatened to axe the popular ITV show unless the channel increases the budget by £3m, reports suggest.

During an X Factor final press conference in central London, the media mogul, 50, refused to confirm whether the show would return next year.

He admitted that no deal was in place yet.

Dannii Minogue says she will be judge on next year's show
ITV is said to spend about £1.7m each weekend on the show with Cowell reported to want another £300,000 spent on ten shows next series.

He wants more money to make next year’s show “even better”.

The newspaper also reported that he was considering staging next year's final at a venue like the 02 in London or Wembley Arena.

Cowell, who is said to have been paid £7.5, admitted: “We’re negotiating with the network and it's not about salaries for the people on it - it's how much money are you going to invest over a period of time.

"We always said we'd stop making the show when people don't want to see it.

"But it's been very successful because ITV have invested a lot into it to make it better.”

He added: "I think there is genuine interest from the people behind the show to bring it back - but if we do, it needs to be better than this year."

Cowell said changes to this year’s format, such as auditions in front of an audience and building a new £1million stage had brought higher ratings, proving that people wanted bigger and better shows.
