He only knew it was a comment from a film when BB told him in the DR,I feel sorry for him,he must feel a bit hurt over Fayes antics aswell and people being sarcastic about him,all combined he must feel pretty s****y,If he was a big oaf like Jay he could probably have shrugged it off,but Aaron is quite sensitive, sorry but I can understand where he was coming from.

How dare you be completely sensible about it. Just slag him off and say Jays ace, and be done with it.

How do you know it was only after BB told him? Not questioning you just didn't notice that. And anyway, after remarking about how it was a film quite he still seemed to regard Jay as some despicable character for quoting that line which isn't really fair. I know he hadn't had the best of nights but that was all a bit melodramatic and I don't like it when housemates blow things out of proportion like he did there

He is a manipulative prick im glad he finally overstepped the mark tonight its obvious he is pandering for support im sick to death of his little childish huffs and moods trying to get people to pity him.
He is getting an absolute mauling on twitter which is a good sign that people have woken up to his game.

He wasn't just generally quoting fro films though, was he? He used it in relation to Maisy (the white girl) and Anton (the black guy).

I could walk around quoting boys in the hood, and when people call me racist, say I'm only quoting a film, so chill out.

Yes and Anton didn't seem offended by it whatsoever, "once you go black, you never go back" is a common phrase and while it's true that it's stereptyping a race it is not doing so in a discriminatory or derogatory way. I mean, on average black people do have bigger penises, that is a fact. Edit - I think, might not be, feel free to prove me wrong

I think this too.

However I can see why Aaron may have felt it was a dig at him. They (jays gang) spent the day taking shots at him, he had been quizzed on his homelife for a while and already been upset about that. He was not there when jay made the original comment, Jay then went and woke up aaron to tell him he had got a warning for the joke that aaron hadnt even heard in the first place...that happened to be about someone in a wheelchair which his wife was...

It doesn't really matter what it was about, if it should have offended him or not, he was obviously feeling awfully stressed and was reaching breaking point after a bad day where he probably spent most of his time thinking about his family/son. He needed a cry and it was for him a good enough reason to let it out.

I don't expect many people (not talking about y'all, in general) to really understand that, and instead react like "herpa derp crying like a girl herpa derp sympathy act herpa derp overaction". He's just feeling it in there. He's the oldest and it really shows after the house has had alcohol.

That's a whole world of wrong wrapped up in one message there. A stereotype, is a stereotype, is a stereotype. It's about the grouping of a whole race of people under one banner, because it's convenient. Just because this particular one is about having big dicks is irrelevant. Black people are criminals was a stereotype used for a long time. Black people are good athletes, but not very intelligent was another.

What do they all have in common? They're all stereotypes, and they're all factually inaccurate.

I agree, He has to be the biggest pain that has ever been on BB. Pathetic. Crying for nothing. Complete over reaction because he knows what a fuss is made about racism. Playing the racist card is what some people use to make themselves popular with the public.

He went in with the intention of getting a relationship such as Josie and John James had. It is all about mag deals with some people.
I think this one likes himself more than anyone else.

Except he wasnt crying over racism...he was upset that people would joke about being in a wheelchair, which is still an overreaction IMO, but his ex wife was in a wheelchair, so its personal.

I can't see him losing many fans because of it at all. It was a personal issue to him and it was pathetic of Jay too. Unacceptable humour to go with his toilet humour, both rather sick to say the least.

Time will reveal why Aaron was so upset and in the end he is likely to gain supporters not lose any.

Not at all, it is far too simplistic a view to just sit there and say "a stereotype is a stereotype is a stereotype". That's just absolutist and has no consideration for either context or intent and when you just ignore that, that is when things get blinkered. A favourable stereotype is in no way the same as a downright insulting one, to say something along the lines of "Jewish people are often financially successful" is not the same as saying something like "they are thieving money grabbers" and to try and create some kind of equivilancy between the two statements would just be wrong

Like I said: context and intent. In this case the context was Jay quoting a movie line among some friends and the intent was obviously a joking, inoffensive one. You could see how surprised he was when he was warned for his actions in the Diary Room.

You are wrong, but you're entittled to an opinion. I agree that he wasn't trying to be offensive, but ignorance can't be excused, intentional or otherwise. Unless you bring ignorant statements to peoples attention, then they will never learn. It's like the person who tells a racist joke/story, then qualifies it with the phrase, "some of my best friends are black."

That's called inherent racism, it is done without intent to harm, or offend, but shows that the person is not quite up to date with using language that most people would deem suitable.

Agreed ! Aaron maybe coming across as being slightly over querulous and lamenting. But, coupled with Faye's flirty behaviour with Anton and yet another onslaught of bitchy put downs to his face by her, is it any wonder he was left feeling a little sensitive? I cannot understand what Faye is playing at when she attacks him in such a derisory manner...or why she feels she has too. I wish, sometimes, that he wasn't such a gentleman and would simply give her the mouthful she deserves. That would only result in her starting to bawl and playing the victim again, though

Ok I can see your point, but I still think it's important to consider the context and the intent behind these situations instead of just passing it off as racist stereotyping

Lets face it . In an ideal world racism would be a term of the past. 'Racist' jokes would then mingle inconspicuously with jibes relating to all other cultures without fear of recrimination. Since it is a well rehearsed fact that we havn't yet reached that state of equalibrium, Jay should not have been surprised when he was pulled up about his comment. Whether it was a line from a film or not has no bearing...is it not more to do with practising a little tact ..along with a modicum of intelligence? But perhaps that is asking a little too much from Jay

I think tactless is the right word to describe it.
