In I Am Legend grass grew through the concrete. I guess that's what that site would look like if some sort of nationwide apocalyptic event was to take place in the near future... it's eery.

If you get the right conditions, there's nothing to say you couldn't have something like that in 2-3 years, you don't need a nationwide apocalyptic event

I'm not sure they will be demolishing the house anytime soon, it is after all still a studio that can be used again in Elstree but yeah I suppose everything has to end some day so when it does get knocked down in years to come, it'll be very very sad.
But hopefully we will have a new house.

I think part of the planning permission when it was built, stated that it was to be demolished before Sept 30th.

So it was always going to be demolished this September regardless of whether they signed another contract or not?

And in that case, theoretically if there was a BB12 we'd have a new site?

That's my understanding yes.

I believe someone posted a copy of the planning permission before, I think that is where it was stated. Possibly DigitalSid that posted it but I've had a quick look and can't find it again.

The site is supposed to revert back to what it was pre-BB3. It was only built as a set for BB.

The decline in popularity and cancellation of the show coincided just right then with the scheduled demolition...how odd.

Do you know why they chose this year to demolish it?
