Because he lost his puppy that he seemed so happy about and he didn't kill it Nicky! Not intentionally and not even certainly accidentally although he should've been more careful with the puppy either way.
But besides in no other circumstances would you see an owner/loved one get blamed for a pet/relative's death (in a clear non-murder situation)
without even any concrete proof to back this up... at least judging by what's in this thread which I just read up on / read nothing else other than this but I'm sure there would be more in here if there was obviously.
