Its commercial and playing to 4% of the population does not get advertisers in.

incorrect, less people would watch and as such they get less advertising

you just dont understand commercial tv and advertising is all

Oh sorry! Didn't realise I was speaking to an expert in commercial television and advertising.

For what logical reason would having some non-heterosexual people on the show lead to less viewership? Please enlighten me.

Well yes having worked in that business for around 15 years I guess I am, what are your credentials?
