Agree with the second bit but not the first. The kids gonna literally be around for years, yet the chance to play in World cup final is a once in lifetime thing. The game comes first every time, for me.

Yes and I would have happily missed my daughter birth for a World Cup final. It gets a higher priority than just about everything else.

You seem shocked. How many World cup finals have great players like David Beckham played in? None. Got four kids though. I wonder if he'd have given up being at one of those kids births to have played in a World Cup final? I bet if you asked him this, he'd thinks long and hard before answering.
