Well they are left wing protesters and they did target his children so I'd say the title is pretty accurate. It's been a pretty big news story across all outlets and even a lot of Labour MPs have been speaking out to denounce it

If it's just dismissed as 'barely news' then this sort of thing is normalised as though politicians should just expect to be harassed with their children every time they step out their front door. Its intimidation and it puts off a lot of people from being involved in politics

Well you aren't being very real. For a start you are promoting he idea it's one frail old man and the sun. The frail old man is a good decade younger than you claim and others present are also named in several reports.

I was referring to the thread title which doesn't use the word 'mob'. No one here has used that term either really so not sure why that's become the main talking point. Even the Sun story is obviously just using it for effect with the Mogg/Mob alliteration. That's what journalists do.

It is accurate that protesters (plural) were present. It is accurate that ONE protester targetted Rees-Mogg's children.

The thread title states that protesters (plural) targetted Rees-Mogg's children. That is not accurate. It's misrepresentative. There's no argument that it isn't... there's a video... which if anything shows that multiple protesters did NOT target the children, it appears to show the entire section start to finish from the point where the kids were mentioned, to the point where they were taken away, during which one protester started hounding the kids. Which, yes, is wrong. But the attempt to nullify the point of the protest by tarring every protester there as targetting kids is disingenuous and (in my opinion) probably deliberate, or at least full of subconscious bias.
