This is naive.
The story is deliberately misrepresentative in order to nullify the complaints of the larger group by focussing on the actions of one individual and apply those to the entire group. It's a common press tactic so, really, it's one that people should make an effort to be able to see through if they actually want to understand what's going on, and not what they're being fed.

Well the plural is accurate - this was a protest organised by the group 'Class War', there were at least four people there carrying a large banner and they were pretty pleased with it as well.
