I don't agree with that sorry, jaxie (who was being passive aggressive to me herself in that thread actually, irony overload ) made a mocking comment, Cherie chose to laugh at it but didn't engage with any of the counterarguments I was making to her and other people in that thread, I find that an example of passive aggression

I agree that Jaxies comment was passive aggressive (sorry Jaxie ) but laughing at someones passive aggressive comment isn't passive aggressive itself. Cherie isn't obliged to engage in any arguments, I don't get why this would make her laughing at a comment passive aggressive

You literally spend the whole of last night calling the majority of the forum embarrassing and ridiculous and now you wanna get high and mighty about people being passive aggressive towards you

I would be more inclined to agree with you if she hadn't quoted my post, got a response and then ignored it and chose to laugh at mocking comments instead. That's not constructive, it's designed to irritate the person who is reading it

Can you explain how I'm getting high and mighty about people being passive aggressive towards me, or are you doing that TiBB thing where you're not reading posts properly?

I've literally just said I couldn't care less (this is the key phrase here, so please pay attention to it) if people want to be passive aggressive, or sarcastic, or patronising...makes no difference to me. But don't give out what you can't take, and this entire discussion began when Cherie quoted me asking me to cut out the sarcasm

And the original post you made in that thread wasn't designed to irritate anyone who thought it might be rigged?(which lets be honest here, isn't exactly an out there thought) Seems like Jaxie was doing to you what you claim to do to others, responding with a like for like toned post

I wouldn't go as far as that, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend I wasn't boasting and mocking because I was, I found the whole thing absurd

That's not quite what I said though:

I've said this so many times over the years, the large majority of the time on this forum I follow other people's lead, they dictate how the conversation is going to go
A conversation begins when someone responds to me, you can't have one on your own. If people start a civilised discussion (like Withano did) then I'll happily engage in a civilised manner (believe it or not I prefer that most of the time), if others want to patronise, bait or be passive aggressive then that's when I'll do the same back and respond in kind. But a conversation doesn't start until someone's quoted me! People don't have to, everyone on here should know what I'm about by now, what my thought processes are and what arguments I stand by, they're consistent and have been for almost a decade. Some people want to engage and that's cool, others just let me do me and that's fine as well in all honestly I reckon 80% of the time it's others who quote me rather than me quoting them (i.e. starting up a conversation), I tend to just do my own thing these days

Well fair enough but if you're going to go into the thread and make a general comment, aimed at no one but everyone aswell you're going to get peoples backs up instantly so it's your fault for setting that tone. What you're saying is you should be able to mock people in a general way but they should then quote you respectfully if they expect you to be respectful back.

And I can accept that, like I said I don't really care whether people want to be patronising, passive aggressive or bait...whatever, we'll have it out, I'm easy. My points in this thread have mainly been "don't give out what you can't take" and that it's generally other people who dictate how conversations go with me, which is true.

The ball's in their court if they want a civilised conversation, that's what I mean. I post, other people can decide how to respond to it (if at all), and we'll go from there

You were the one who actually started the whole passive aggressive comments thing when you came into that thread last night making insults and looking down your nose at people for having "meltdowns" (ironic).

I've still yet to see an example of where Cherie was actually being passive agressive back towards you cause posing a single smiley certainly isn't IT

There's no irony here at all because this isn't a "meltdown" in the slightest, I'm just responding to people who are quoting me...which some others don't. Remember if Cherie had never told me to cut out the sarcasm this entire thread would never have happened, and my one small post would just be sat there on the first page

You've misread what I've said again. I don't care if people want to be patronising, sarcastic or passive aggressive. I'm perfectly guilty of doing the same thing. What I actually said was - how a conversation goes with me is more often than not dictated by the other person. If you respond civilly (like Withano) then we can have a debate, all's good, if you want to be passive aggressive then we'll have it out...other people make the call on that. But like I said to Niamh, a conversation can't begin until someone quotes someone else!

I explained this to Niamh:
But it is kinda hypocritical saying people can’t take what they give when you mock the forum for being mad at obvious rigging then write essays when someone tells you to cut the sarcasm
You clearly care, even just a little bit. If not there wouldn’t be anything to drive you back to this forum, along with everyone else here. Most people on here care about this show and want the best for it, so it can get annoying watching someone champion something they think is dreadful for the show (the Lewis rigging) which is probably what warranted the ‘passive aggressive’ posts on those threads. You have a vision for this show and series as to what would make it it’s best, and so do others. What’s annoyed me particularly about that thread is you packaged what you want from the show as the best option and anyone who’d want to watch.. idk... Sian for example has lesser taste
