Thatcher was one of the best prime ministers ever, and a woman, hence why she got a state funeral. Not everyone agreed with her for sure, but she single handedly brought this country back from general strikes. Yes, she went too far, thats always the way in these things, but no-one has deserved a statue more than her in my life time.

She didn't "bring the country back", she ushered in the neoliberal Tory capitalism that is still autocannibalising us to this day. It just isn't finished yet.
