I feel some sympathy if a case like this is between say a 19 year old guy with a 15-16 year old that lied about her age... because these days that can be an easy mistake to make and a person at 19 yo isn’t all that mature yet either. But 27 & ****ing 12?

I agree.

Some girls can look WAY older with makeup. He took her word for it, how was he supposed to know that a girls profile on a dating app was incorrect
