On the Thread topic... I mean... I get what these kids are trying to do and it's honourable etc. but I think they might have misunderstood the purpose and effectiveness of strike action, which is that its supposed to cost the company (or government) you're working for money or productivity or both. Which is why things like airline and other transport strikes are so effective; they become very expensive, very quickly.

Teenagers striking from school for a day doesn't actually cost the government anything, so I don't really see how it's going to be effective, other than as a publicity stunt.
