The whole overly optomistic 'oh she might forgive me for this if she gets the throne as she will be happy that day when she finds out!' is..daft. And Tyrion is far from daft, he surely knows hes next in line regardless of if she won the throne or not Its another rather unbelievable thing that he would be quite so stupid and just hang around waiting for his execution (same way littlefinger did..again, he surely knew right after Bran revealed he knew it was his knife/plan)
