does anyone believe that racism had been wiped out. does anyone believe that there are not millions of racists around the world?

Given there are millions of racists, why is it a surprise that someone is able to video an occurrence of it.

Even if this event had happened in the UK, what could we as individuals do about it? We can explode with rage all we like, but we as individuals cannot do anything other than inform the appropriate authority and move on. Racism of that type is illegal in the UK ... so report it and move on. Getting outraged at random people around the world will just damage your own health and wellbeing and those that fall for it are being manipulated. When the law is there to protect from racism, use it .... no need for outrage

...I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, bots...we may have the luxury to be able to ‘move on’ from seeing bigotry and prejudice like this unfold...but minorities who are prejudiced against, don’t have that luxury...and it’s important that these things are highlighted when they’re seen...of course, prejudice and racism will never be completely wiped out...but it doesn’t have to feel regressive either...

The point i am trying to make is that:

1. We, as individuals, have no power to change anything happening in countries across the world other than our own

2. Racism is already illegal in the UK so if it happens here, report it to the authorities. We can't hang the guilty parties, we cant flog them in the street. We have a mechanism to deal with it ... use it

3, There are thousands of good causes that people could get enraged at ... People are being manipulated into getting stressed out and angry over issues that there is either already a mechanism in place to resolve, or is in a place where no action can be taken.

America elected Trump as president, they all knew what he was like .... They chose him. If they want to change things, they need to vote for an alternative.

The same can be said for Brazil, the Philippines, Italy, Hungary, Poland .... it's the peoples choice, and it's in their own hands if they want to change it, not ours

...that sounds like a very insular existence my friend...of course, we use energies on things we can control and on things if they are directly solvable by us...thats also what we do as humans...we are very multi tasking...but we also discuss the things in the world that we feel are wrongs because no matter what our skin colour, our religion, our lives in where we’re located in the world....there but for the grace of God...we can feel saddened about these things because of how we ourselves would feel if someone were to scream that abuse at us while we were doing our jobs in serving people...

I disagree there are ways individuals can influence, by banding together...look at Hong Kong.
The push for democracy there has rippled across the globe, your' move along nothing to see here ' approach is not one with which I have any respect.
If there is racism, fascism or corruption in your country or elsewhere then if possible expose and oppose it as a citizen of the world I see that as a duty.
Where did turning a blind eye ever get anyone. We may not be able to do much, but be actively supportive of regime change because we care about our fellow human beings.

Cue posts about sjw, hand wringing and virtue signalling.

Nothing justifies racist abuse. You can't goad someone into throwing out racist language. There's no defense for this, a normal person when stressed does not resort to racism. This racist just let his racist flag fly, there's nothing more to it than that and there's no amount of mental gymnastics to paint the old man in this story as sympathetic.

White folk are too hung up on racism if you ask me..my african friends that I talk to regularly are more interested in beating up people who fart.
