What annoys me is how the media portrays it like 50's sexism and how women everywhere are being underpaid , when in reality like you say it's different work hours & it depends on the career position. Also maternity leave comes into it as well.

If you're a office assistant you're not going to be paid more than a manager no matter if you're a woman or man. So its definety misleading this whole" gender pay gap ".
