There’s a few companies who’ve already said it will cost TEN times what Labour have predicted... whoever gets in power will need to spend money on things more important.

You could well be right and it could all be pie in the sky, but why does no one ever hold he tories to account for spaffing 100m up the wall on no deal propaganda and preparation? Why is no one demanding that they release the brexit costings and assessment? Why is it ok that we've become one of the greatest western countries to funnel your money through to tax havens?

All these exceptions we make to help the tories give their mates preferential treatment, and yet labour want to improve the lives of ordinary everyday people, and suddenly folks turn into accountants.

This double standard is why we can't have nice things.

It was council/housing association houses that were promised I believe, and it was by T-May in 2017 so they can't even claim that it was sunk by Brexit. Although I suppose poor T'resa maybe actually believed she'd get 5 years and that Brexit would be done by March 2019, so maybe she did plan to deliver on that. Probably not. But maybe!

Are any of these council homes or anything that could be classed as affordable?
I don't doubt that homes are being built in the UK but it's private companies building them.

I was responding to someone who said that "not one house" had been built. I live in South Norfolk, one of the top three councils for building houses and I can tell you that it's not all executive homes, lots of houses and flats for rental have been built. And top three councils in the country for building houses are Gloucestershire, South Norfolk and South Derbyshire. All Conservative councils... the heartless b*stards.
