Impeachment happens at Congress and is essentially a delcaration that there's a case to answer, the trial for removal happens at Senate but requires a 2/3 majority vote to remove the president... and the parties tend to (as always) vote along party lines so he will not be removed. The 2/3 majority rule makes it a relatively pointless process, to be honest.

He's only the 3rd president to be impeached in US history which should say a lot, but his supporters won't care.
