Tried Aldi for the first time a few months ago and it was honestly abysmal... the prices for near enough everything were the same in ASDA, and the layout and packaging was rough.
Rarely shop in Lidl but their bakery section is 10/10 and don't get me started on the cookies. Plus they were the go-to shop for my friends as a teenager trying to buy booze underage.

Quite regularly end up spending £200 and coming away with stuff like frying pans, plant pots, duvet covers... And there's an Argos in there... Last time I ended up buying a £60 keyboard on impulse ![]() |
