I don't mind Tyson going but would've preferred Kim to play her idol correctly and they take out Sophie!

Oh well this season is still going along smoothly

lmfao that episode was complete garbage. FIVE MINUTES of camp life and game talk where the camp as arbitrarily split into two different alliances that don't even make sense, another ~live Tribal Council~, two advantages and an Idol played, and then the cherry on top is a vote that was not even attempted to be explained to us!

I don't know, I've come to expect every season of Survivor to turn into complete garbage so it's not surprising but it's still upsetting. Like if the show doesn't even want to explain ANYTHING that happened tonight to me, why should I try to figure it out and care?

Waaaay too much time spent on the family visits. However, really cute moments for Adam, Tony and Tyson

Also Bobby (Sophie's fiancé) is HOT

Tony winning immunity was great

Another messy/entertaining TC. I actually had no clue who was gonna be eliminated. Kim was so dumb playing that idol for Denise though.

Sarah was REALLY annoying when discussing with Tony who to vote for. Was thinking/hoping he might try and get her out after that

Glad Kim is still there, she still made a move and secured herself as a good player. I hope Tony, Jeremy, Denise and Kim can recover from being on the outside.

Other than that, the episode wasn't that great tbh They really need to extend the length of the episodes, because the edit is going wild.

The episode length is fine, they were able to accurately tell a story in 42 minutes each week for a long time successfully. The bigger issue all the bull**** they throw into the show now. Every time they show Fire Tokens it’s at the expense of actually showing camp life. Every time they show the Edge of Extinction it’s at the expense of showing relationships being built and bonds being strengthened. Every time they show whispering at Tribal Council it’s at the expense of an actual conversation you can follow along and understand. The issue isn’t episode length, it’s that they keep filling the show with more and more twists and advantages and features they actively take away from tangible forward plot movement.

I don't mind the TC whispering (kinda find them entertaining even when they're not done right I guess) but just try to have some sense and reasoning to them! This one was a bit too messy and toneless like some of them tend to be.

That episode was utter garbage, I could not care less about family segments or nonsensical whispering at TC.

But other than that, we hardly see anything related to surviving on an island. We don't see them getting food, hardly fishing etc I'm fine with the twists (sometimes they're overused), but a full 45 minutes is definitely not enough. Sometimes people get voted out and call it a "blindside" whereas it probably come from somewhere we didn't get to see properly. It's like a new plot is coming out of nowhere every episode and not having a full understanding of what is going on.

When each episode has to feature the Edge of Extinction, someone receiving an advantage and giving a stock confessional debating whether or not they should inevitably spend their Fire Tokens on said advantage, confessionals that only list names of other players, and TC whispers that you can't even follow along to, there's not enough time left to actually explain what's going on.

Basically what it comes down to is that if the show is unfollowable in its current state, which it absolutely is, that's a reflection on how the show is being produced and edited rather than just them needing longer episodes. When there are at least four of five moments that HAVE to be shown because of the nature of the game in its current state, they effectively just become white noise and don't lead to any forward plot movement and then we're left with a garbage episode like last night's.

Agreed, but still the length is to me very important to feature all aspects of the game. Either less twists but better plot development, or a longer episodes with (not all) twists and more "surviving" aspect. I think a 90 minutes episode can do wonders to feature everything. Because really two tribal councils full of whispering is unwatchable

This was a mess. And not a good mess. I don’t mind the odd ~live~ tribal, but fgs the whole point of tribal is you sit down and hash out the tribe dynamics and give the viewers some insight into what’s going on

I actually laughed when Jeff asked “has everyone said what they wanted to?”, no one had said anything!! I’m sure they did in reality but it didn’t make the edit

I feel like if they want to continue the whispers at least put some subtitles up so we know what’s going on

Half of the episode was trash.

The other half was about whether Kim played her idol right or not.

There's just too many advantages anyway, that just dilutes the game. You get immunity and you get 'fire tokens', to reward those who may be thought bigger targets. And the vote steal thing is a like a double advantage, you take a vote away and can use it yourself?

People will never go to rocks if they can help it anyway.

Unfortunately I think I already got spoiled on the winner, visited the home page of a forum and they put spoiler posts there along with others ones, some Americans are very stupid.
