You gotta play that turnip stalk market game. You need like 5 million bells just to fully upgrade your house, it simply isn't possible without turnip trading. It would take years.

I sold my first turnips the other day, I only had three stacks, I made 200k, I think that is an okay amount, but you're right, I need to earn A LOT more!

I lucked out on my second week playing, bought a tonne for 92 bells each then my own island had a sell price of 590 on the Wednesday, so I made like 5 million and never really needed any more .
