The Jungle Book (2016)
I really enjoyed it, it was just as good as the original. The visual effects were perfect and felt realistic, the voice performances were on point, especially Idris Elba's Shere Khan and the action was awesome! 8/10. |

Nowadays I can't decide if I prefer that or Batman Begins after TDK. What an amazing trilogy. |

Hearts in Atlantis - I really enjoyed this, don't know how I missed it originally, love a bit of Stephen King and you can never go wrong with Anthony Hopkins. 7/10

. I had also completely forgotten the "Pit" twist...Spoiler: Just masterful stuff. 'cept Bane's voice. Although I do a good impression of it and like to troll my daughter with it because she has no interest in seeing the film, and has no idea what I'm doing. Haha. "Stop doing that weird voice ffs!!" |

Spoiler: Although in the Nolan trilogy's "realistic" world (there's no superpowers or mystic stuff) I would guess that the pit prison is supposed to represent the Lazarus pit. You're "as good as dead" while you're down there, there's supposedly no way to escape, but both Talia and then later Bruce are "resurrected" when they manage to do the impossible and climb out. |

Is that the one where humans have stopped breeding or something? And there's only one pregnant woman left on earth?
Edit - Just checked. That was Children of Men. As you were...

Scream 3 (2000)
Whilst it's not as good as the first two, it's still an entertaining flick. Parker Posey's Jennifer was brilliant. Spoiler: |

It's a poor movie, horror and suspense wise. But has other attributes that make it a fun watch. Last edited by Marsh.; 12-06-2020 at 05:27 PM. |

Yeah, the voice changer was absolutely ridiculous and dumb but Scream was never really realistic so it worked with the comedic tone and the satirical aspect.

Artemis Fowl
This film is only on for an hour and half and it felt like double that. Everything about it is attrocious. The writing is bad, EVERY performance is utterly woeful, the directing is shoddy, the CGI and special effects were laughable, and nothing about it resembles the books it's adapted from at all. It's remarkable how bad of a misfire this film is, there is nothing good about it and the actors seemed as bored filming it as I was watching it. It's just terrible beyond words and nothing short of disrespectful of the source material it was supposedly adapted from. It lacks the charm and wit of the books and the characters are only the characters in name only, it's overly sanitised and it's riddled in cliches and tropes and whoever wrote the script lacks even a basic understanding of the material they're supposed to be adapting. A 1/10 is too generous, a 0/10 doesn't quite do the job either. A positive number scale is too good for this dog****. -10/10 Last edited by Tom4784; 12-06-2020 at 06:41 PM. |

No Country for Old Men - 9/10
That shoot-out between Moss and Chigurh was excellent Killing Moss off-screen was unexpected, though. Last edited by Babayaro.; 13-06-2020 at 11:08 AM. |

Scream 4 (2011)
A major improvement on its predecessor. The deaths were executed well, opening scene was intense and genius, acting was good and the suspense was excellent. The only criticism I can give is the killers' motive. It's too weak and lazy. Spoiler: That being said, Emma Roberts was fantastic. Spoiler: |

Some film about wrestling on sat with the rock and Stephen merchant. But as I don't remember much about it or the end and middle. I must have fallen asleep or indeed maybe we never watched it. Anyway it got good reviews.
