Trump was doing 3 and 4 rallies a day and every single one of them was packed full, they had to turn people away. It was the hottest ticket in town, this year.

Most of Biden's "rallies" were filmed in a studio, weren't they? I know some people joked he did in his basement, which I can't get out my head but either way, Biden's version was more effective at not spreading Covid.

As for the more votes thing, that's a combination of population growth and people thinking "god we need to get rid of Trump!" Having a divisive candidate makes people more likely to vote.
