Just heard my daughter in law has tested positive, so she can’t see the kids yet.
My 90 year old aunt Mary has it, hopefully she is over the worst of it and seems to be doing well.
Let us hope we get this on the run this year.

Apparently the new Oxford vaccine will next week hit an immediate ‘red tape’ bottleneck in the form of ‘diversity training’ as all the thousands of volunteers ( ex nurses and doctors) will have to go through that training and have to complete and sign 21 documents , be certified in ‘preventing radicalisation’ and certified in ‘fire safety ‘ and certified in ‘conflict resolution’ ... after all this they are given a one hour online training session ....

Can’t see this helping the situation much ... surely has to put even more stress on all the services and the NHS

/////

BRITAIN is bracing for 25 inches of heavy snow to strike in hours as a ferocious polar bomb hits, according to the latest forecasts.
Bitterly cold air from the Arctic is predicted to hit the UK as 2021 begins, as maps from WXCHARTS show northerly winds sweeping over the UK. The low pressure is expected to bring "disruptive" wintry weather during the first part of January, including heavy snow over a 16 day period from January 1 to 16.

My test came back negative at 6am today. Shame it didn’t come back before New Year’s Eve, had to spend it in my room isolating

I've just signed up to be an NHS Volunteer Steward to help at vaccination centres. You're not guaranteed to get called on but thought I'd sign up anyway

That’s a wonderful and brave thing to do !!

Interestingly , the bloke in charge of the volunteers was interviewed on LBC radio this morning ..

Hopefully we don’t have anyone like this ...

A Wisconsin hospital worker was fired after they admitted to deliberately damaging hundreds of doses of a Covid vaccine.

According to the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wisconsin, a worker at the hospital admitted to deliberately sabotaging some 500 doses on Wednesday
