...watching it again, Alex sounds so upset, his voice beginning to break...as he said, having to listen to Piers time after time after time and his Meghan ranting because he really does show an irrational dislike of her...and Alex was trying to point out how damaged Harry is and has felt, which was long before Meghan...and Piers won’t listen to anything that shows any compassion at all toward his ‘hate object’ or those she loves most...that’s the impression it gives for me...

His actual job is to talk about what is in the news and give his opinion

...and yet he was just ‘beaten’ ...when someone else gave an opinion, even though he was doing his actual job ...which he didn’t seem to be doing too well because he was so overcome by irony in the moment...go figure...
