the only way i could get them in any way edible was to spray them with olive oil, cut them into wedges and bake them in the oven, but i would still rather have a tatty

Wedges are to big...you could cook it for an hour and you would still get the disgusting mushy bit


Chips or nothing imo...with salt......

Sweet potato is a once in a blue moon thing for me. I like it but I wouldn’t have it all the time.

Oh god. Awful things those. Taste to me like parsnip and loads of sugar crossed with cardboard. Though apparently, others indeed tend to dislike them but do not recognise that taste..

Not from me you can’t, I don’t know where she got the idea, but my wife came up with chickpea curry with sweet potatoes, it’s great.
I baked a huge sweet potato once, it was very soft, I cut it open, lightly sprinkled some Tabasco powder in it, added feta cheese, then just a tad more Tabasco on top, it didn’t make my eyes water, but it made my nose run a little, tasted sublime though.
