Cherie I don't think she meant it like that unless I've misunderstood her point ?. But anyone with half a brain knows the severe suffering Jewish people have gone through. Through history people have been persecuted for their religion, race ,gender etc

I think I see the point she's trying to make. When you hear about such evil , whether you're Jewish,black or white or male or female you're human and anyone with a shred of compassion in them should feel something. It's important for everyone to learn about this history wherever you're from.

She's not an idiot she knows what the holocaust is, she's always stood up against prejudice and racism . I know she had sympathy for Mel Gibson despite his racist slurs,but I think she knew he had mental health issues. She called him a 'bone head'.

Even the other day on TV a Jewish holocaust survivor expressed how it wasn't just Jews who were tortured & killed,but literally anyone who was different and anyone who didn't follow the "rules" . This was a massacre, these were sadistic people.
