It's not woke but it's ... bizarre.

About half way through you realise it's 100% just a satire of the genre - but the first few episodes don't seem like that at all

It's not terrible but it's a bit clumsy. It's also really short so overall I'd say you might as well give it a go.

I mean, I personally would argue that "You" is semi-satirical to begin with, but yeah there's probably some inspiration there. I'd say it's more a parody of pulpy mystery novels and, in turn, the sort of trashy mystery shows that Netflix (and the beeb, and ITV etc.) churn out.

The wine glass looks like it's getting bigger everytime as well and yeah I was thinking the day she was supposed to go on that blind date in Ep 1 she drank a whole glass/ bottle of wine
