He's not going to fire ICBM's and tactical nukes are sort of moot these days. There are extremely high yield non-nuclear weapons that achieve the same goals without the political implications, and Russia has plenty of them.

Quite. While maybe Boris manner may well be naturally a bit blustery, I don't get how people still think he's the bumbling idiot he portrays himself as. Thinking that his view of the world is blinkered or limited is valid, but stupid he is not.

I don't know enough about Putin in general to know if he seems increasingly "insane", but my mum has a theory that he's been diagnosed with a terminal disease, and wants to take as much of the world with him as possible makes more sense than thinking he's simply crazy, I guess.
