I haven't watched it. However you have to look at the show from all angles. The majority of people on it were all cut from the same cloth. Poorly educated, drug dealers/users and probably a majority on benefits with 6 kids in tow. The chance of earning some extra cash was a massive temptation....as for JK himself he was imo told to behave like that in the name of 'Drama' and TV appeal...but for that he takes a responsibility.
Sadly it was bound to backfire at some point and tragicly someone took their own life as a result of the humiliation.
