Obviously not, it was ridiculously over the top, however, I don’t buy into the he shouldn’t have been offended narrative, when a joke is aimed at a specific person for a specific uncontrollable situation, people have the right to be offended if it offends them, since when is people having feelings a bad thing? Is everyone supposed to be heartless robots these days or?
I suppose it depends on if Chris Rock was really joking or not for me.

I do feel like people get offended at all sorts of Comedy nowadays though, I mean if Will Smith thinks Chris Rock was mean to his Wife how would he feel if someone like Frankie Boyle made a joke about his Wife? Because no doubt it'd be more offensive.

But some 'jokes' just aren't funny , and Frankie Boyle just seems to enjoy offending people. His joke about Harvey Price was mean spirited and cruel.

I know humour is subjective , and there's alot of boundary pushing going on . But it seems there's beef between the Smith's & Rock by the looks of it. And even when people don't react with violence,we can still see when they hate a joke made about them. People are free to feel how they want but it's how they react to it.

Perfect example is Seth MacFarlane who did a juvenile song about all the actresses 'breasts ' he'd seen on screen, they were all in the audience looking unimpressed.

Smith should have just told Rock that his wife has alopecia and that it's not fair to make jokes about her,and then left it at that . Or better still he could have roasted him back . Instead of resorting to getting physical & angry. It's ashame really.

I get not liking certain jokes, I'm sure we all have jokes that cross the line for us.

I just feel that some people nowadays take Will Smith's approach where it becomes a big drama rather than calmly just saying that the joke wasn't for him.

He's a bliddy hypocrite more like . I will never forget his nasty humour. So he can stop trying to take the moral high ground.
