'Right to abortion is not deeply rooted in our history'
Justice Alito said abortion was not mentioned in the US Constitution and the issue should be decided by politicians. He wrote: "The inescapable conclusion is that a right to abortion is not deeply rooted in the nation’s history and traditions. "The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each state from regulating or prohibiting abortion. "Roe and Casey arrogated that authority.
