To be fair Parmy many of the people fleeing those countries and seeking refuge ARE the gay communities of those countries, as they're at serious risk of persecution (or injury, or death). There are sadly places in the world where the violence against the LGBT community is still primarily literal violence, rather than mean tweets.

I know, that's why I never pay much attention to the "they are all men of fighting age" argument.
