I've only seen talk of around the funeral date out of respect.

Can anyone actually confirm this weekend's matches are off.

Oh I'm lucky personally, I can go to those other channels that you're on about because I don't watch much on the terrestrial channels.

But what about the people that don't have cable or the Internet? Because believe it or not those people do exist, and what if they don't want to watch the news? You're basically telling them to stop watching TV for the week.

Plus it's not just about any individuals taste, it is about having alternatives, like you've just pointed out we're acting essentially like China in this situation, trying to force people into watching something that they might not want to watch.

For me I actually have some interest in the Queen, but I'm not selfish enough to think that everyone else does as well.

I understand that, and that's why I would personally like segments in Shows/Sports to be dedicated to the Queen, but postponing these events? No it's the wrong decision.

If it happens its because of protocol and respect.

I personally don't think it should be cancelled, mainly because I don't actually think its what she would want and I am sure there would be a minutes silence plus armbands etc but if it is cancelled its still not censorship.

What you also got to take into account is the players and and staff and everyone involved may not be in the right frame of mind? Is it fair to force someone who potentially thought very highly of her to play a game just because you want to see a game?
