I leave it up. As I did when it was a house of me, my brother, dad and mom. If there's more males than females it's just more logical and efficient to leave it up. I wouldn't exactly ask a house of females to leave it up for just me, so why should the reverse be normalised.

I guess when I say toilet-seat I’m talking about the seat itself as well as the lid because you do kind of need both parts to make a whole.


How does anyone not put at least the seat-seat down?

Because there’s more of a chance of foul bacterial erosion and mice/rats popping out and running amok in your yard if you leave the toilet wide open overnight.

You know what's gross and annoying ... public unisex toilets in the work environment & Starbucks , the amount of times a bloke has left it up . I always use my foot to put the lid down ,I'm not touching that .

I don't understand why Men get so 'forgetful' , obviously not all men do this of course.

Drives me nuts. You must always leave the seat firmly down if you want be hygenic (even if it’s literally just that and not the lid). People who can’t bring themselves to do the bare minimum drive me flaming crazy.
