in fairness to southgate, his tactics have been successful in getting england out the group stages in the last few tournaments. Wales aren't going to beat england 4-0
 The problem comes at the knockout stage where the teams they meet have the potential to beat england due to those same tactics. In the last couple of tournaments england have had a pretty easy ride during the knockout phases and the same may happen again this time round, who knows |
