You are quite right about nutters who may attack, but they could do that to any controversial figure, or indeed any innocent person, I really don't believe Meghan was in any particular danger, going by the security experts assessments.

I'm not saying every anti-royal likes them, but I'd say that ranges from broad indifference to mild dislike (though I can imagine there's any anti-royal who doesn't appreciate how funny "Spare" is ).

But those who "can't stand" her? I think that's mainly with the royalists and little-britaineers. No one else is all that invested.

I guess there's the run-of-the-mill misogynists but they can't stand any high profile female so that's moot.

From my own opinion that as soon as she and Harry left royal duties there’s been a major and appalling hate campaign against them. I look at them through logical and rational eyes.

I have seen so many interviewees on TV and radio saying things like "I'm no fan of the Royal family, but I can't have Meghan at all'. So that's the impression I get.
I don't think its down to Royalists or anti Royalists really, I think its about an individuals own moral code and what they consider tolerable and decent and authentic about a persons actions and that will be different for everyone depending on their own life experiences.
