This is just straight up false. Even in texas (which has the most liberal "stand your ground" laws) you can only defend when threatened, and then only with proportionate force (i.e. you can only shoot to kill someone if you have good reason to believe they're going to try to kill or severely harm you).
There's nowhere in the US where you can shoot someone on your porch just because they're there.
The reason you can (in some states) pretty much always do it if someone forces entry to your home, is because it's reasonable to assume that if someone has forced their way into your house then they are a clear risk to your personal safety.
