Sometimes I’d be on the ’bus and get so annoyed with people seemingly rubbing and touching up their faces repetitively, only to find out after getting up and glancing at them for two seconds on my way to a seat in-front that they were actually only eating a sandwich or something. I don’t mind the eating noises but anything that looks like someone might be sniffing a lot does my head in straight-up. You’d think that one pack of pocket tissues, sometimes even just the one tissue, (in the absence of chopping off the nose and boiling it in peppery mushroom-soup) would be all it would take to kill all the ugly nonsense from the nose but nah. Some people would rather sniff 9 times a millisecond. It doesn’t bother me anywhere near as much as it did, say, 10/15 years ago but it still gets on my nerves. I don’t know why it’s socially acceptable to keep swallowing all your snot in public and force your hands to make it go through your throat (a more ugly sight than a 10-year-old picking their nose, I.M.O.) but I don’t think it’s right. And it’s always the ones who keep sniffing who hardly/ever get the hint/cue when you ‘politely’ throw a pack of tissues at them.

‘Oh, no, it’s okay. I don’t need it. I’ll just keep sniffing and irritating people instead.’

I’d call myself a people-person and I know myself a lot better than you know me so I’m not too bothered what you think. You can understand why people do the things you do and still find them annoying.

People are going about getting on with their daily life’s I suggest you do the same
