Well you should put the lid down before you flush…for hygienic reasons.
If a bloke has a pee with the seat up I guess it can splash onto the underneath of the toilet seat so if a female comes in to pee they have to touch that part to put the seat down they may well be touching pee.
However if a man has a pee and puts the seat down and then the next person to pee is a bloke then he still has to touch the underneath of the seat to put it up…
The morale to this story is…always wash your hands after you have had a pee/Pooh….
