…this article suggests a big factor as being the internet/technology age we now live in and anonymity being something that has become very difficult because with modern technology, many people will already know and it’s become very difficult to ‘police’….

…interesting though…that led me to another article of two adult paedophiles who were given anonymity because it was felt that they may harm themselves if it wasn’t given…I’m sure the law is simple for those who practise and understand it but it feels often filled with complications and exceptions…

all it takes is for an mp to name them in parliament and that's it. There is no stopping a name coming out if there is a will to do so

…I think the sentencing for Brianna’s killers is today and they’ll both be named when sentenced…

Just heard the sentences.

20 years for him, 22 years for her.

NOT LONG ENOUGH. The Lefty Judge saying when you come out. WTF.

They'll only be mid 30s when considered for release. Madness.

BOTH should have got at least 40 years each.

So Scarlett finally cracked and admitted to murdering Brianna, she told Eddie to bring the knife, he stabbed her initially but did not want to kill her so Scarlett grabbed the knife and killed her, at least she finally owned up, hope she never sees the light of day again

the reason the judge went into such detail on sentencing is because there are specific jail term recommendations for the type of crime. We can disagree with the jail term length, but the way it was determined is entirely transparent. It does not reflect any political bias for that very reason

They said the girl has apparently been working on another kill list in prison. Really disturbing stuff. That alongside the fact she tried to poison another kid a year before. The boy actually seemed like a good student before this and was a champion kickboxer apparently?

Psychologists would have a field day studying these two. What's interesting is that normally killers like this come from really broken homes and traumatic childhoods but it doesn't really sound the case here. Not from whats been reported anyway but that's obviously not the full story

When you have multiple killers it's very rare that both are equally the driving force... basically not many people are actually ever motivated to commit senseless murder so two of them just happening to befriend each other in the same school would be exceptionally rare. What isn't rare, of course, is people being easily led by someone influential.

I wouldn't really speculate in this case as there's been a lot of hearsay. It does (somewhat) seem that it was the girl who had a fixation with killing someone, and the guy was convinced to get involved by her. Which obviously means he wasn't exactly in good psychological health either - but he might not have actually committed an act of violence without encouragement/prompting.

Interestingly it is the "opposite way around" to the usual if that's the case. There are loads of examples of "killer couples" from around the world and almost ALWAYS with a little bit of digging, the telltale signs of coercive abuse and control are there (with the male being the abuser, and the woman seeking to appease or impress).

Just been on Twitter. There's a lot of Lefty do-gooders supporting the words of the Lefty Judge who thinks these two very evil monsters can be freed in the future.

Look, these two monsters are beyond help. You don't commit a hideous crime like vicious murder and then in 20 years be put in charge of looking after young kids in a nursery.

THROW away the key.

Yeah he apparently went completely mute during his trial which suggests some disorder present, agree she seems to have been the driving force

Why are people getting hung up on what might happen in 20 years. Likelihood is they won't be released still after that time but it's a question for another day

Public are always desperate to play judge and jury
