So this is a really complicated thing and I can understand all views.

I think planet fitness is wrong for firing the woman who reported the ‘trans woman’ in the bathroom.

We need sex based changing rooms for a reason. I remember saying this on here years ago and I was told how awful I was etc etc. but I don’t care lol

As someone if the lgbt community, I believe that everyone should feel safe enough to go to the bathroom and not be harassed

Of course this includes (actual) trans women. I think there should be a ‘family/gender friendly’ bathroom which is private and anyone can change there if needs be.

However!!

Do I think it’s actual trans women who are trying to use women’s bathrooms and expose themselves?

No, I actually think that most of the time it’s just a creepy cis man trying to get a look at naked women.

I think that they (cis men) who are doing this know they can take advantage of the system and they are ruining it for genuine trans women.

I don’t know a single woman (cis or trans) that would just start shaving in public. It’s just not something you do. I also don’t know any trans women that would go out and purposefully ‘expose’ themselves in a women’s restroom. Most would go and change in a bathroom stall and then just leave…

So now the issue is that there are without a doubt a number of men who are using ‘trans woman!!’ as an excuse to be perverts.

And the only people who really suffer from all of this are cis/genuine trans women.

It’s just crazy that something as simple as getting changed or going to the bathroom has become such a politics point that people are losing friendships/jobs etc just because of a damn opinion
