My cats are chipped and sadly recently one was hit by a car. Someone picked him up and took him to be scanned so I thankfully was aware what happened. If he had not been chipped I may never have known what happened to him.

Not sure how enforceable it will be but hopefully the possibility of a fine will encourage people to have it done

…awwww, I’m so sorry but so glad that he was chipped and you were able to know, Annie……but yeah, I texted earlier to ask if my grand baby cats were chipped…(…like the demanding/overbearing grandparent I am…)…and they were both chipped as kittens, which is the way to go, I feel…

Mine were chipped when they were neutered and I think most vets offer it at that point.

Yeah we got our dog chipped when she was being spayed
