Martha was ten times more aggresive than Hanah. It was Martha poking the fire all the time with her snidey comments, all hanah was doing was getting frustrated at the imbeciles inability to grasp hanahs point of why she ignored her repeated requests to say if she heard anything.

…yeah for sure that’s true that some personalities can feel the need to make up quickly, they don’t like any bad vibes ‘hanging’, you know…whereas Hanah obviously isn’t that personality…she needs distance from that person but she also I think, needs to process the events etc….I think with Martha, it just feels a bit on or off, type thing …it all got quite ‘spiteful’ and then…oh, besties…you look amazing and I think that would be difficult to respond to…

But Lily kept going on about it , like a spoilt child having a tantrum. She needs to grow up ,and Martha kept prolonging it . Emma was a diamond for basically instantly shutting down gobby Martha & cord sore Nathan, Emma isn't daft...she saw straight through Martha's BS. I'm so glad Emma spoke common sense ![]() |

I had mixed feelings on her but after the way she acted in the Red Witch episode and in this most recent one I'm not a fan and would like her to leave. It was less the argument between her and Martha that bothered me (a lot about the way she expressed herself wasn't on, but her primary point was right) and more her gleefully singing 'her plan did not succeed!' etc upstairs. I just find the vitriol she expresses towards Ali in particular very uncomfortable to watch. I understand why she'd have issues with her, but the way she goes about expressing it seems so cruel and extreme.

If I was her I would have acted the same way. I have no problem with speaking your mind, if others don't like it they can get effed.
God awful Martha was shiit stirring as usual and tried to paint a narrative around Hanah. It was totally out of order and very sly. Hanah only lost her composure when Martha made the "get Segun your wing man" comment. I would have been fuming too. |

That's your typical Somali-London accent. She uses A LOT of slang though. Somali Londoners have a very obvious accent. If they talk fast and use heavy slang they can be pretty hard to understand to the untrained ear. I think she tries to be eloquent but her "ghetto" side comes out and she doesn't properly enunciate. |

I'm glad Hanah didn't chuck the teabags like Dean did at Martha....she would be crucified for it

Martha, Nathan, and Dean should all be ashamed of themselves for just not seeing Hanah's point of view by themselves.

In my view it should always be who's points that you agree with is the winner of the discussion.

And she actually could've ignored him by striking up her own conversation with other people that weren't interested in Marcello's chat. And don't get me wrong I do find Marcello a bit much sometimes with the sex talk, but Ali had options to ignore his chat, she just chose not to take it.

Marcello has said a few times now he objects to people telling him what he is talking about makes them uncomfortable, which I find major red flags especially for a youth worker in his mid-30s. I am the same age as Marcello. I would want to know if a topic I am discussing is making someone uncomfortable as I'd hate for them to feel that way and know not to discuss it with them moving forward. I think the issue with what happened with this conversation is two-fold: Ali went about it the wrong way. Instead of saying "Please can you not talk about Marcello wanking, I find it uncomfortable, do you mind if we change the subject" she used her job as the reason. Perhaps she thought that might feel more credible but it didn't. The second I think is the subject matter. I think sex is so widely spoken about now that many people don't understand it when others find it an uncomfortable thing to have to listen to someone discussing. |

Marcello's overall thing seems to be he likes to match energy with other people where he finds affinity with those others and that means literally everything... he likes an open book, etc. Last edited by Maru; 29-10-2024 at 05:26 AM. |

Obviously there might be other examples like you've said, but as I don't know what they are, I can't really judge something that might or might not exist. ![]() For me I personally wouldn't deliberately have one on one chats with someone about a topic that they're personally uncomfortable with (as that's extremely rude and inappropriate imo) but I do ultimately think that Ali should've just ignored his chat, I don't think that she had the right to tell him off for having that chat and I will stand by that. And I do agree with you that she definitely came at him in the wrong way.
